Let's Do Lunch Club is Lunch for neighborhood children when school is not in session. Neighborhood children are invited to lunch through fliers passed out in neighborhoods. Children eat from 12-12:30. Meals could be served restaurant style or cafeteria style or even family style. At Kokomo Urban Outreach Sites meals are often served by waiters with real table clothes. Keep it fun. After lunch we offer crafts, games(air hockey, Foosball, checkers etc.) or other activities. Kids desire adult interaction and we give it to them. Children stay for until 1:00 and go home. It is a great way to interact with neighborhood children. Menu can be as simple as peanut butter and jelly, however, at KUO we work with many food insecure children and we try to serve hot nutritious meals whenever possible. Adults are also welcome to attend, especially parents.
